Due to continued business growth, we are seeking compassionate, reliable and experienced Aged or Disability Carers (Support Workers) to join our team on a full-time basis. Key Responsibilities

Your duties may include, but are not limited to:

● Providing personal care, including assistance with showering, dressing, grooming and personal hygiene.

● Supporting participants with daily living activities and promoting independence.

● Assisting participants with mobility and safe transfers.

● Preparing nutritious meals in accordance with individual dietary requirements and preferences.

● Performing domestic assistance duties, including cleaning, laundry, vacuuming and maintaining a safe living environment.

● Assisting participants with shopping, appointments and other community access activities.

● Providing companionship, emotional support and encouraging social participation.

● Organising and supporting recreational, community and social activities.

● Monitoring participant wellbeing and reporting any changes in health or support needs.

● Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with organisational policies and NDIS requirements.

● Providing flexible support, including sleepover or live-in care where required.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must satisfy one of the following:

● Hold a relevant AQF Certificate III qualification (or higher) completed over a minimum of six months, including at least 120 hours of practical placement, together with a minimum of one year of relevant work experience;

OR

● Have at least two years of full-time relevant work experience as an Aged or Disabled Carer (ANZSCO Skill Level 4).

Essential Requirements

The successful applicant will:

● Demonstrate competence in all aspects of disability and aged care support.

● Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including good written and spoken English.

● Be compassionate, reliable, professional and able to work effectively within a team.

● Have a sound understanding of NDIS Practice Standards, policies and relevant disability legislation.

● Hold a current Full Australian Driver Licence (P1, P2 and International Driver License's will not be accepted).

● Hold a current National Police Clearance.

● Hold a current Working with Children Check.

● Hold a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.

● Hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate.

● Hold a current COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate (where required).

● Be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and public holidays as required.

● Be available to commence employment as agreed.

Desirable

● Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.

● Previous experience supporting participants with complex care needs.

● Additional industry qualifications or specialist training.

● Current references from previous employers.
