Dozer Operator – Quarry Operations
Location: Middle Swan, WA
Employment Type: Casual – Ongoing
Roster: Monday – Friday
Hours: 5:30am start, with finish times varying between 4:00pm and 6:00pm depending on operational requirements. Flexibility to work extended hours is essential.
Category 5 Labour Management is seeking an experienced Dozer Operator to join a busy clay quarry operation supporting brick manufacturing.
Based out of Middle Swan, you will start each day at the depot before travelling with the crew to various quarry sites. This hands-on role requires an experienced operator who can work safely and efficiently across active quarry environments.
About the Role
You will be responsible for:
- Stripping overburden and preparing clay extraction areas
- Operating dozers across multiple clay quarry sites
- Pushing, spreading and stockpiling clay materials
- Levelling quarry floors and maintaining access tracks
- Supporting clay extraction and loading operations
- Completing daily pre-start checks and reporting equipment faults
- Working safely around loaders, trucks and other mobile plant
- Following all site safety and operational procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience operating dozers in a quarry, mining, civil or earthworks environment
- Relevant dozer competency/ticket
- Current unrestricted Driver’s Licence
- Strong understanding of mobile plant and site safety
- Ability to complete pre-starts and operate equipment responsibly
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to complete a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
