Driver - Cement Tanker

The role
Hy-Tec is seeking an experienced Multi-Combination (MC) licenced Driver for a full-time permanent role based primarily at our Smeaton Grange site. This position involves providing relief shift cover for B-Double Tankers, Tippers, and Agitator trucks as needed. The role includes the loading and delivery of raw materials used in concrete and aggregate production to various local sites, as well as general vehicle maintenance and upkeep.
We're looking for someone with a strong commitment to safety, who enjoys working with a diverse range of people and can take responsibility for delivering materials safely and efficiently. While prior MC driving experience (minimum 12 months) is essential, we offer comprehensive training to help expand your skills within a secure and growing industry. This is a great opportunity for a reliable and safety-focused driver looking to build a long-term career.
This role is available working Monday to Friday with rostered Saturdays as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Load and deliver raw materials to company sites
- Ensure safety, health & environment standards are maintained
- Comply with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management and mass management requirements
- Complete basic documentation
- Maintain professional customer relationships
- Maintain the vehicle in a clean and tidy condition
What you will need to succeed
- Current MC drivers’ licence and be able to provide driver licence history check - essential
- A reliable team player attitude with a focus on customer service
- Strong work ethic and sense of integrity to allow you to work independently
- Previous tipper and tanker experience advantageous but not required
- Relevant building/concrete industry experience advantageous but not required
