Duty Manager - Leisure Facilities

Multiple Casual Positions | Latrobe Leisure Moe/Newborough, Morwell and Churchill, Yallourn North and Moe Outdoor Pools

Duty Manager: $46.57 per hour (includes 25% casual loading)

Qualified Customer Service Officer (Lifeguard): $43.09 per hour (includes 25% casual loading)

We're looking for Duty Managers to join our Leisure Facilities team. In this role, you'll lead the day-to-day operations of our leisure centres and outdoor pools, ensuring a safe, welcoming and enjoyable experience for customers while supporting staff and maintaining high operational standards across our facilities.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide leadership and operational oversight of leisure facilities when a Leisure Facilities Leader is not on duty, including supervising rostered staff.
  • Ensure the safety, presentation, cleanliness and smooth operation of indoor and outdoor leisure facilities.
  • Support customers through professional service, responding to enquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Monitor facility operations, manage hazards and support emergency response procedures when required.
  • Undertake lifeguarding duties to ensure the safety and enjoyment of patrons using aquatic facilities.
  • Maintain operational records, support cash handling processes and contribute to a positive team environment.

You are a confident and motivated leader who enjoys working with people and creating positive customer experiences. You thrive in a team environment, communicate effectively and are committed to maintaining safe, welcoming and well-presented facilities.

You bring strong decision-making skills, attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Whether supervising staff, supporting customers or responding to operational issues, you take a proactive and professional approach to your work.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in line with policies and procedures to ensure the safe operation of a facility.
  • Experience in cash handling, computer systems and maintaining accurate records with a strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Occupational Health and Safety principles and safe work practices.
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Essential Requirements

  • Current Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011 or higher)
  • Current Pool Lifeguard Qualification 

Desirable Qualifications

  • Pool Operations Certificate
  • Certificate III or IV in Fitness

Please note that this role includes facility supervision responsibilities and is therefore only available to applicants aged 18 years and over.
