Early Childhood Teacher (Kindergarten)
- Lead and deliver a funded kindergarten program using play-based learning and the EYLF and VEYLDF.
- Assess and support children’s learning, development, health, safety and wellbeing, while communicating with families.

Bloom Childcare Pty Ltd operates Country Kidz Preschool, a 94 place long day care and funded kindergarten service in Tongala, Victoria. Our service is rated Meeting the National Quality Standard and offers a play based program guided by the Early Years Learning Framework and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.
We are seeking a qualified and registered Early Childhood Teacher to lead our kindergarten program.
Key duties
•Plan, implement and evaluate a funded kindergarten program, structuring learning across indoor and outdoor environments with a variety of materials and equipment to support each child's development
•Teach the foundations of literacy, numeracy, music, art and literature through play based learning
•Provide a range of experiences and activities that develop children's motor skills, cooperative social skills, confidence and understanding
•Promote language development through storytelling, role play, songs, rhymes and informal conversations with individual children and small groups
•Observe, document and assess children's learning to evaluate their progress, and identify early signs of illness, emotional difficulty, developmental delay or disability
•Monitor children's nutrition, health, welfare and safety, and identify and respond to factors that may affect their progress
•Discuss children's progress with families, hold parent meetings and prepare transition to school statements
•Attend staff and committee meetings, and take part in community and family support programs as appropriate
•Supervise student teachers on placement and guide the educators working in the kindergarten room
•Uphold the Child Safe Standards and meet all obligations under the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations and the National Quality Standard
Essential requirements
•An ACECQA approved early childhood teaching qualification at Bachelor degree level or higher (or a recognised equivalent)
•Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT), or eligibility to obtain it before commencing
•At least 12 months' experience working as an Early Childhood Teacher
•Sound working knowledge of the EYLF, VEYLDF and the National Quality Framework
•Current first aid (HLTAID012), including CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma management
•Strong skills in curriculum planning, observation, documentation and assessment
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
•Full working rights in Australia, or the ability to obtain them
Desirable
•Experience delivering a funded three or four year old kindergarten program
•Experience using Xplor or Storypark
•Food handling and safety training
What we offer•Salary of $79,500 to $82,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on qualifications and experience
•Permanent full time position, Monday to Friday
