EL1 Master Scheduler
Location: Barton, ACT
Duration: 3 months with 2 potential 6-month extensions
Clearance: NV2 minimum
Hourly Rate: $81 - $91 per hour
Our government client is seeking an experienced Master Scheduler to establish scheduling and resource management capabilities within a complex government environment.
This role will suit professionals with strong expertise in program scheduling, workforce planning, forecasting and capacity management, combined with advanced stakeholder engagement skills.
You will develop integrated schedules, analyse resource demand and capacity, provide planning insights, and support effective delivery across multiple workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement integrated scheduling and resource planning frameworks.
- Develop and maintain resource-loaded master schedules.
- Establish resource forecasting, allocation and governance processes.
- Conduct capacity planning and workforce utilisation analysis.
- Identify resource constraints, risks and delivery impacts.
- Develop demand forecasts and resource planning models.
- Provide scenario analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Prepare reports, dashboards and management information for stakeholders.
- Develop scheduling documentation, methodologies and handover materials.
- Support knowledge transfer to ensure ongoing internal capability.
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing complex master schedules.
- Advanced expertise with Microsoft Project or similar enterprise scheduling tools.
- Strong experience in workforce planning, resource management and capacity analysis.
- Advanced analytical, forecasting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with specialist technical teams.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience working in highly regulated or complex environments.
- Current NV2 security clearance.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Experience supporting security, infrastructure or capital works programs.
- Experience working in large-scale operational or technical delivery environments.
