Your new company
Join an award-winning engineering company based in Wodonga, Victoria on a full-time, permanent basis as an Electrical Estimator. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Electrical Estimator to join the team and play a key role in securing and delivering major industrial electrical projects.
Your new role
Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of electrical estimates, quotations, and tender submissions for industrial electrical works.
- Preparing electrical estimates (within Simpro), quotations and tender pricing
- Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, schedules and other tender documentation
- Develop labour estimates based on the proposed scope and method of delivery
- Prepare material take-offs and establish material pricing
- Source and negotiate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
- Identify pricing risks, scope gaps and areas of uncertainty during the estimating process
- Consider relevant safety, quality and compliance requirements when preparing estimates
- Maintain estimating databases, supplier relationships and pricing schedules
What you'll need to succeed
- Electrical trade qualification or relevant electrical/engineering qualification
- Demonstrated experience in electrical estimating, quotation preparation or industrial electrical project delivery
- Strong understanding of electrical labour, materials and installation requirements
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, scopes of work and technical documentation
- Previous experience using Simpro for estimating is ideal*
