Job Description
Core Talent are seeking a diligent and safety-conscious Electrical Spotter to join our client on a project in Jimboomba. As an Electrical Spotter, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our workforce when working in or around areas with potential electrical hazards. You will serve as a key team member in overseeing electrical safety protocols and ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a safety observer for personnel working near or with electrical equipment.
- Identify potential electrical hazards and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks.
- Monitor safe distances around electrical sources and equipment.
- Maintain communication with team members and supervisors to report hazards.
- Conduct site safety audits and report on compliance with safety protocols.
- Assist with the isolation of electrical systems when necessary.
- Ensure that all workers are aware of safety procedures and are following proper safety protocols.
- Maintain and inspect personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure readiness for use.
- Provide regular updates to management on safety practices and incidents.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a civil costruction, industrial, or electrical safety role preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations.
- Electrical Spotters License (UETDREL006 Work Safely in the Vicinity of Live Electrical Apparatus as A Non-Electrical Worker).
- White Card
- Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to remain calm in emergency situations.
- Physical ability to work in challenging environments (e.g., outdoors, in high places).
Rate: $40ph + OT after 8 hours daily
Hours: 8-10 hours available daily
Location: Jimboomba
Duration: 1-2 weeks with potential extension
Start: ASAP
