Job description

Electronic security technicians required for an established Sydney-based integrator, with opportunities across installation and service.

All work is commercial, covering a varied mix of offices, retail, shopping centres and larger enterprise-level sites. Work is available across Sydney and surrounding areas, the Central Coast and Newcastle, so technicians based in any of these locations are encouraged to apply.

The role
Depending on your experience and preferences, you’ll focus on installation, service or a combination of both. Your work could include:

  • Installing access control, CCTV, alarm and intercom systems.
  • Cabling, fit-off and equipment installation.
  • Servicing, maintenance and fault-finding.
  • Programming, testing and commissioning systems, including Gallagher and Inner Range.
  • Liaising with clients, contractors and other trades.
  • Supporting junior technicians and taking on site responsibility as you develop.

About you
We’re open to technicians at different experience levels. Strong practical skills, quality workmanship and the right attitude matter more than knowing every platform.
You’ll bring:

  • Experience installing or servicing electronic security systems.
  • Pride in neat cabling, tidy installations and a quality finish.
  • Good communication skills and a professional manner with clients.
  • Reliability, initiative and a willingness to learn.
  • A current driver’s licence and flexibility to travel between sites.
  • Relevant security licensing and cabling registration, or willingness to obtain these with support.

Gallagher or Inner Range experience is welcome but isn’t essential. Training is available for technicians coming from other systems. Electricians and data cablers with relevant security experience are also encouraged to apply.

What’s on offer

  • Company vehicle and overtime opportunities.
  • A varied, entirely commercial workload.
  • Training and exposure to enterprise security systems.
  • Opportunities to develop your commissioning skills or move into site leadership.
  • Approachable management and an experienced technical team.
