We are currently working with a Client and are seeking expressions of interest for experienced Electricians to join a major brownfields upgrade project at an operating mill in the Goldfields.
This is a large-scale project that will effectively double the size of the existing mill, providing an excellent opportunity for electricians with strong construction and mine site experience to work on a significant project.
The Mine will be in production during this time, therefore suitable experience within a mining environment is required.
Electrical Scope
The electrical works will involve a combination of existing and new infrastructure, including:
- Working within the switch room and substation
- Removal and installation of MCCs
- Removal and installation of transformers
- Installation of a new generator
- Installation of mains cabling
- Installation of control cabling for supply and field equipment
- Cable pulling
- Cable terminations
- Electrical testing and commissioning support
- Working safely around existing live/operating plant and brownfields infrastructure
What We're Looking For
- Strong construction electrical experience
- Previous mine site / processing plant experience
- The ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Solid experience with cable pulling, terminations and testing
- Previous EWP experience
Tickets/Onboarding Requirements
- Current Clean NPC (Gold mine)
- White Card
- Australian Electrical Trade qualification
- Current Working at Heights (WAH) and EWP tickets
- Relevant High Risk Work Licences (HRWLs) are highly regarded
- Ideally, a couple of years' mine site experience working in operational environments
- A strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
This is a brownfields project within an operating mill, so experience working safely around existing plant, infrastructure and operational environments is particularly important.
