We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our client’s team as an Equity Research Analyst focussed on Pre IPO, Small Cap Mining & Resources or Industrials sectors. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality research across company, sector, and macroeconomic themes, providing actionable insights and strategic recommendations to Institutional Investors.

The ideal candidates will have over 6 years’ industry experience as an Equities Analyst ideally with exposure to the Small or Mid Cap Industrials or Resources / Metal and Mining sectors. The roles involve equity analysis of Industrials or metals & mining stocks listed on the Australian market and the writing of research reports for investment purposes.

Additional responsibility includes regular dialogue with companies and institutional investors. You will have strong skills in analysis, report writing and an established network of institutional and industry contacts. Passion and persistence is rewarded in this swiftly evolving market.

You will be working for one of Australia’s leading Institutional Equity business’s, focussing on emerging companies. This is an additional hire role to add to the firms already impressive small cap research offering.
 
You’ll be responsible for maintaining all stock and industry models, writing research, dealing with corporate relationships and interacting with internal and external clients. The environment is challenging and demanding, but exciting and dynamic in one of Australia’s leading sell side equities and research business.

Your experience and skills

• 6+ years’ experience in Equity Research ideally Mid/Small Caps – Industrials or Metal and Mining sectors focus.
• Proven ability to critically review and analyse industry data
• Highly analytical, organized and able to multitask under tight time frames
• An excellent communicator, able to present recommendations and investment decisions persuasively
• Competent in financial modelling, investment research, analysis and evaluation
• Ideally possessing industry experience in Mid/Small Cap Mining or Industrials- but open to other sectors
