We’re looking for EWP Operators who have strong mechanical aptitude, enjoy hands-on work, and are motivated to learn a new skill in machinery operation.

With work across the Warrnambool region, this is a secure, full-time opportunity with consistent hours, overtime available, and the chance to expand your capability into specialised machinery operation, with DIDO options for the right candidate.

The Role:

Reporting to the Supervisor, you’ll support vegetation clearance around powerlines while building your capability across specialised plant and machinery. You’ll work across Warrnambool, Portland and Hamilton, typically travelling up to an hour to site, with paid LAHA opportunities available on select projects.

You’ll rotate across a mix of:

  • Operating EWPs and supporting specialised machinery operations
  • Pre-start and maintenance checks
  • Setting up drop zones and exclusion zones
  • Safety observing + chainsaw tasks
  • Conducting on-site risk assessments

To Be Considered (Essential)

  • Current driver’s licence
  • EWP / High Risk Licence
  • Mechanical aptitude and confidence working with equipment
  • Motivation to learn machinery operation and expand your skill set

Great, but not essential: 

  • First Aid/CPR
  • White Card
  • Jarraff Specialised Machine licence (UETDRVC011)
  • MR/HR Truck Licence
  • Chainsaw operation qualification (Certificate Level 1 & 2) preferred
  • Industry experience and/or qualifications (Cert II ESI Powerline Vegetation Control)
