Experienced Forklift Operator

We are currently seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join a busy transport and logistics team. Previous experience within the transport industry is highly regarded, particularly loading and unloading large trucks, trailers, and handling ugly and general freight.

This is a fast-paced role where you'll work as part of a dedicated team to ensure freight is moved safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a counterbalance forklift to load, unload, and move general and ugly freight
• Loading and unloading trucks, semi-trailers, and linehaul vehicles
• Applying and understanding load restraint requirements
• Scanning, labelling, and accurately recording freight movements using RF scanners
• Conducting pre-start and safety checks on equipment
• Assisting with general warehouse duties as required
• Maintaining a safe and compliant work environment at all times

Skills & Experience

• Current LF Forklift Licence
• Minimum 2 year recent experience operating a counterbalance forklift
• Previous experience within a transport or freight warehouse environment
• Experience handling ugly, oversized, or irregular freight
• Sound knowledge of load restraint practices
• Experience using RF scanners
• Full availability Monday to Friday  
• Multiple shifts available AM and PM
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
