Our client is a growing mining and exploration company with active projects across Australia. They are seeking an Exploration Geologist to support a drilling campaign in Far North Queensland, with the opportunity to transition into future exploration programs on other projects.

Your new role
As an Exploration Geologist, you will play a key role in the delivery of an active exploration drilling program. Responsibilities will include geological logging of RC and diamond drilling, sample collection and cataloguing, validating historical exploration data, undertaking basic geological interpretation and supporting the safe execution of daily drilling activities. You will work closely with drill crews and field assistants while contributing to the overall success of the exploration campaign.

What you'll need to succeed

Degree qualification in Geology or a related discipline Minimum 3 years' exploration geology experience Exposure to gold/metals exploration Experience with RC and diamond drilling programs Strong geological logging, sampling and sample management skills Ability to undertake basic geological interpretation on drill sections Experience coordinating field activities and supporting drill programs Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with field crews Willingness to work FIFO in Far North Queensland and travel as required
