Our client is a globally recognised resources company with a growing lithium exploration portfolio across Australia. Backed by a strong commitment to safety, sustainability, and technical excellence, they are seeking an Exploration Geologist to join their Australian Exploration Team based in Perth.
Your new role
Reporting to the Exploration Manager, you will play a key role in identifying and advancing new lithium exploration opportunities across Australia. This position offers a balance of office-based technical work and field-based exploration activities.Your responsibilities will include:
- Generating and evaluating new lithium exploration targets
- Planning and executing exploration programs across multiple projects
- Geological mapping and surface geochemistry programs
- Supervising aircore, RC, and diamond drilling campaigns
- Geological logging, sample collection, and QAQC management
- Developing geological interpretations and 3D geological models
- Managing and validating geological and spatial datasets
- Preparing technical reports, presentations, and exploration updates
- Collaborating with technical, business development, and project teams
- Ensuring all activities are conducted safely and in line with environmental and heritage requirements
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree qualification in Geology
- 2-5 years' experience in exploration geology
- Experience supervising drilling programs, including RC and diamond drilling
- Strong understanding of geological logging, sampling, and QAQC procedures
- Experience with geological software such as QGIS, Leapfrog, and/or IoGAS
- Sound knowledge of exploration targeting and geological interpretation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Schedule 26 progress or completion highly regarded
- Previous lithium or LCT pegmatite exploration experience advantageous but not essential
