Your New CompanyHays partners with a range of established hospitality and catering contractors delivering services across remote mining villages, energy projects, and large-scale resource operations throughout Western Australia. We are seeking experienced FIFO Chefs for ongoing opportunities on major sites.
Your New RoleAs a FIFO Chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in busy bulk catering environments, servicing large workforces across remote sites. These positions involve working in breakfast, crib, dinner, and night shift operations while maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards.Typical rosters include 2:1, 3:1 and varied shutdown schedules, with shifts generally ranging from 10 to 12 hours per day.
What You'll Need to SucceedTo be considered, you will have:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher
• Previous FIFO chef experience within Australia
• Experience cooking in high-volume or bulk catering environments
• Strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP principles
• Current Safe Food Handling Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to complete client-specific inductions and onboarding requirements
• Two recent and contactable work references
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
