Aurenne Group Mining is a privately owned, family-run gold miner operating at Mt Ida, 80 km from Menzies in WA’s Goldfields.
We’re growing our exploration program and looking for a hands-on Exploration Geologist who wants more than sitting behind a desk.
You’ll be out in the field working across a large Diamond and RC drilling program, getting involved in everything from drill planning and supervision through to logging, sampling, QA/QC and geological interpretation.
What you’ll be doing
- Geological fieldwork, mapping, sampling and drill planning
- Diamond and RC drill supervision
- Core and RC logging and sampling
- QA/QC and geological data management
- Geological interpretation and target generation
- Working closely with drilling and mining teams
- Field logistics, equipment and consumables
- Supporting a strong safety culture on site
What we’re looking for
- BSc Geology or equivalent
- 2+ years’ Exploration Geology experience
- Gold exploration experience desirable
- WA C Class Driver’s manual Licence
- Experience with geological software such as ArcGIS, Acquire or Leapfrog ideally
- Strong understanding of drilling, sampling and QA/QC
- Practical, switched-on approach to problem solving
- Full Australian working rights
- Current National Police Clearance
