Make a real impact using your operational experience

At Real Response, we train people for the kinds of emergencies that don’t follow a script.

We create high-intensity, real-world training environments where participants learn to stay calm, and make life-saving decisions. Our trainers are current or former emergency professionals who know firsthand that real incidents don’t happen in tidy classrooms, and that preparation matters.

As A Trainer, You’ll:

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality fire safety training, including Fire Warden, Fire Extinguisher and Evacuation courses.
  • Deliver simulation-based first aid training where relevant to your qualifications and experience.
  • Adapt your delivery style to suit different client groups, environments and locations.
  • Travel to client sites throughout the Gladstone region and surrounding areas.
  • Receive comprehensive onboarding, training, equipment and ongoing support from our national training team.
  • Have opportunities to expand into first aid, electrical rescue, tactical medicine or mental health training where your experience and qualifications align.

You’ll Ideally Have:

  • Experience delivering workplace fire safety training, including Fire Warden, Fire Extinguisher and Evacuation training.
  • Relevant operational experience in fire, emergency response, industry or a related field.
  • If delivering first aid training, experience as a paramedic, emergency nurse, fire EMR, military medic or similar emergency response professional.
  • Strong communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
  • A professional presence and the ability to engage confidently with a diverse range of participants.
  • A current Police Check and Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain them.
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40110, TAE40116 or TAE40122), evidence of enrolment in TAE40122, or willingness to undertake this prior to employment.
  • A current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle to travel to course locations.
  • A laptop or similar device suitable for connecting to AV systems at client and training sites.
  • Comfortable with the practical requirements of delivering training, including transporting and setting up essential training equipment.

Why Join Us:

  • Make a genuine impact by helping people prepare for real-world emergencies.
  • Work with an energised and supportive team that values collaboration, initiative and professional growth.
  • Enjoy flexibility, with opportunities for casual and permanent work depending on your availability and experience.

About Real Response

At Real Response, we do training differently.

We bring together emergency professionals, educators and creatives to deliver immersive, high-impact training that sticks, because in a real emergency, there’s no time to second-guess.

Over a decade ago, our founders Ben and Motti saw a problem: too many people were leaving training without the confidence to act in real-life emergencies. They set out to change that by creating a new kind of training where realism, confidence and hands-on experience are at the core.

Today, we’re a team of 40+ passionate professionals working across Australia and beyond. We deliver nationally recognised training across first aid, fire safety, emergency response, mental health, tactical medicine and security.

We proudly work with organisations including the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), University of Melbourne, Metro Trains, Rio Tinto, Australian Federal Police and many others.

From small businesses to high-risk industries and government departments, our reach is wide but our impact is always personal.

We’re not just teaching skills, we’re empowering people to save lives.
