Impact of the role

As the organisation continues to grow its fundraising and partnerships activity, this newly created role will provide additional support across a diverse portfolio of philanthropic relationships.

Working across Corporate Partnerships, Trusts & Foundations and Major Donors, the role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of philanthropy.

You’ll support the full fundraising journey, from researching and identifying new prospects and developing proposals, through to stewarding existing supporters, coordinating partner engagement and events, and contributing to grants and impact reporting.

You’ll also gain hands-on experience in pipeline management, Salesforce and the systems and processes that underpin successful fundraising.

Responsibilities

• Support relationship management and stewardship across existing and prospective partners and supporters.
• Contribute to fundraising activity across Corporate Partnerships, Trusts & Foundations and Major Donors.
• Help develop proposals, small grants, impact reports and tailored communications in collaboration with Fundraising and Marketing.
• Research and identify new supporters, partners and funding opportunities to strengthen the fundraising pipeline.
• Support the Community Support program, connecting philanthropic supporters with schools.
• Coordinate partner engagement activities, activations and events that deepen relationships with Schools Plus.
• Maintain accurate prospect and opportunity information in Salesforce and support effective tracking of fundraising activity and next steps.
• Coordinate pipeline management, allocation and reconciliation of funds, while contributing to improvements in fundraising systems and processes.

Skills and Experience

• Prior experience in fundraising, philanthropy, partnerships, relationship management or a similar environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with supporters, partners or key stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to contribute to proposals, grants, reports and supporter communications.
• Strong research skills and an interest in identifying new prospects, funding opportunities and potential partnerships.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Confident using CRM systems such as Salesforce to maintain accurate records and track activity and opportunities.
• A warm, professional and collaborative approach, with the confidence to build trust and work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proactive, accountable and solutions-focused, with a genuine interest in developing a career in fundraising and philanthropy.
• A genuine interest in education equity and improving opportunities and outcomes for young people across Australia.
