General Accountant

IKC Structures designs, manufactures and builds premium sheds, steel structures, steel fabrication projects and intensive farming facilities throughout South Australia.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented General Accountant to join our growing team.

This is a full-time, permanent position based at our Clare office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure financial records are accurate and up to date

• Prepare and lodge BAS, payroll tax and other statutory reporting obligations

• Assist with budgeting, cash flow forecasting and financial planning

• Analyse financial performance and provide recommendations to improve business outcomes

• Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts

• Support the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants and auditors

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation requirements and relevant legislation

• Monitor financial transactions and identify discrepancies or areas for process improvement

• Provide financial information and advice to management to support business decision-making

Essential Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline

• At least two years of relevant accounting experience

• Strong knowledge of Australian accounting principles and taxation requirements

• Experience using accounting software such as Xero or MYOB

• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills

• High level of attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
