General Practitioner (VR GP) – Central Coast, NSW (DPA position)

The Practice
Due to the high numbers of doctors retiring in the area, ever increasing the local patient demand, you will be highly welcomed by the team and patients alike at this growing centre. This private billing practice is well established and has ten consulting rooms with natural light and a treatment room with three beds so you will be fully equipped when you see patients. You will work alongside four male GPs and two female GPs, with one doctor doing skin cancer treatments only. There are allied health services including a dietician, physiotherapist and podiatrist on site so that your patients can access many of their healthcare needs in one centre.
You will be supported by two full time nurses and three receptionists, to make sure that each day goes smoothly. Together with a practice manager (offsite) and assistant practice manager (onsite), you will be guided each step of the way, building up 30 to 40 patients per day. The current doctors’ books are full, with a two-week waiting list so you will be able to build up a patient list and be fully booked quickly.
This state of the art, modern facility has a staff room with kitchen, separate staff bathroom and ample free parking for your own convenience. Opening hours are 8am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday with no weekend work required, so your weekends will be free for hobbies and local adventures. The practice fosters a lovely and caring work atmosphere and organises weekly doctors’ coffee mornings, team dinners and even a Hunter Valley wine tour for the whole team, creating a great team environment.
The Location
The Central Coast is perfectly positioned between Sydney and Newcastle and is known for its relaxed lifestyle. Located one and a half hours’ drive from Sydney’s city centre, this area is surrounded by beautiful beaches, lakes and national parks to explore and relax in. There are excellent cafes and restaurants, live music and great dining options. The clinic is situated in a shopping centre with a pharmacy nearby and the area offers affordable housing with early learning centres as well as public and private schools within easy reach.
Essential Criteria
DPA position and visa sponsorship are available. RACGP PEP-Specialist Pathway eligible international candidates (substantially comparable) and GPs holding Specialist Registration with AHPRA are eligible for this role.
