Grocery Clerk/Supermarket Staff

We are on the hunt for a friendly and experienced grocery clerk to ensure that the grocery area of our supermarket is well-maintained and running efficiently. You will act as the first point of contact with customers and help them with information and support in buying their groceries.

Your duties may include preparing sale displays, ensuring the store is clean, stocking products, and processing customer orders. To exceed in this role, the ideal candidate will have a friendly and open attitude, with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Grocery Clerk Responsibilities:

1. Asking customers about their needs and helping them in making purchases.
2. Escorting customers to the appropriate aisle or shelve in order to assist with purchasing decisions.
3. Providing excellent customer service.
4. Ensuring the store is clean, safe, and in order.
5. Stocking and replacing products to avoid any damages.
6. Keeping shelves fully stocked with fresh products.
7. Preparing store displays and ensuring that products are accurately labeled.
8. Ordering out-of-stock products.
9. Processing customer orders and payments.
10. Discarding expired items and place near expiry items on special promotions.

Grocery Clerk Requirements:

1. MUST have fruit and vegetable experience
2. High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
3. A minimum of 2 years' experience as a grocery clerk.
4. Proven customer service or retail experience is a plus.
5. Great attention to detail.
6. Good communication and people skills.
7. Lotto and vegetable fruit experience desirable
