Gypsum Plant Operators | FIFO | NT
- Monitor plant systems and ensure safe and efficient production.
- Operate and control plant equipment, adjusting parameters as required.
- Conduct regular inspections and troubleshoot equipment issues.
CELOTTI WORKFORCE is currently seeking experienced Gypsum Plant Operators for our client's large-scale mining operation based near Darwin, NT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor plant systems, gauges, computer screens and flow rates to ensure safe and efficient production.
- Operate and control plant equipment, adjusting temperatures, pressures, valves and other process parameters as required.
- Conduct regular inspections of plant and machinery to identify leaks, unusual noises, faults or damaged components.
- Record operational data, readings and shift information accurately.
- Report equipment faults, maintenance requirements and operational issues in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot process and equipment issues using logical and practical problem-solving skills.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a strong safety focus at all times.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and contribute to a safe and productive work environment.
- Work independently while maintaining effective communication with the wider operations and maintenance teams.
Our Ideal Candidates:
- Previous experience in plant operations, processing or mining environments is highly desirable.
- Confident using computers and remote operating systems, including SCADA/DCS .
- Strong problem-solving and logical-thinking skills.
- Ability to monitor and respond to changing plant conditions.
- Comfortable undertaking manual labour and working in an industrial environment.
- Able to work unsupervised and demonstrate initiative.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work a 15:14 roster on alternating 12-hour day and night shifts .
