About our Role

Join the Barminco team in Hazelmere as a HD Fitter and support our workshop for our underground mining operations.

You’ll play a key part in delivering a range of maintenance activities across our large and diverse fleet of machines and equipment. 

As part of the workshop team you'll work in a supportive environment to grow a long-term career with Barminco. 

What will your day to day look like?

• Carry out planned and breakdown maintenance on our underground heavy mining equipment
• Diagnose faults and perform mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs
• Conduct inspections, servicing, and component change-outs to manufacturer and site standards
• Complete pre-start checks and ensure equipment is safe and compliant for operation
• Accurately record maintenance activities and report defects or hazards
• Work closely with operators and supervisors to minimise machine downtime

Our ideal candidate background includes

• Previous experience working as a HD Fitter
• Relevant Trade qualification - Cert 3 Mobile Plant Technology or similar
• Ability to meet all site access requirements (including, but not limited to, Medical, DAS, NPC & valid Manual Driver's Licence)
