About the Role
We are currently seeking a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic who specialises in Road Transport Equipment to join our Newman depot team. Offered on a 2/1 roster ex Perth (or Newman), this position includes night shifts, 7 days, 7 nights, 7 days off and working 12.5 hour shifts.
As an HD Mechanic you will:
- Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy vehicles including trucks, buses and trailers
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
- Communicate with stakeholders to explain repairs and provide estimates for work
- Work collaboratively with other mechanics and providers to ensure timely completion of all repairs
What You'll Need
To be considered you will hold the following:
- HD Automotive Mechanic trade qualifications
- Experience working on Macks and Volvos
- Australian Driver's Licence – MR or HR class
- Australian work rights
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and ongoing drug & alcohol screens
