The Opportunity
You’ll lead a team of 12 engineers and data scientists and play a key role in shaping the culture, structure, and output of the engineering function. This is both a technical and leadership position: you’ll bring rigour, accountability, and mentorship to a young, enthusiastic team providing clear direction and professional growth.
You’ll partner closely with the senior leadership team to ensure the engineering roadmap aligns with commercial priorities and delivers robust, scalable, and elegant solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver on product and platform goals.
- Set and maintain high standards for code quality, architecture, and delivery processes.
- Foster a strong engineering culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Act as the technical representative within the broader leadership group.
- Balance innovation with pragmatic delivery
- Work closely with product, data science, and operations to drive outcomes that meet customer and business needs.
About You
- Proven experience leading and developing high-performing software engineering teams.
- Strong technical background — confident “on the tools” and across modern development practices.
- Familiarity with data science and machine learning environments.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills — able to motivate, guide, and hold teams accountable.
- Pragmatic, collaborative, and outcomes-focused — a leader who thrives in an evolving, fast-paced environment.
