This growing private capital business has institutional backing and gives advisers high quality access to private markets. It has well-developed portfolio and treasury tools and a strong focus on transparency and reporting.
The Opportunity
Our client is looking for a Head of Treasury to take ownership of liquidity, funding and financial risk across several private market strategies. You will set the treasury strategy, decide on liquidity buffers and funding sources, and build the function as the business grows.
This is a rare opportunity to shape a treasury function from the ground up, with a clear pathway to broader leadership, including CFO responsibilities. The role is full-time and based in Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities
- Design the capital and funding structure for the group and its vehicles to lower the cost of capital and support growth
- Build and lead the treasury function and be the main contact for banks, rating agencies and other financiers
- Manage cash and liquidity, particularly around the life of each fund deal
- Set up and run SPV and unit trust structures, making sure regulatory, fiduciary and governance obligations are met
- Combine treasury forecasts with financial plans, support regulatory reporting and maintain strong governance controls
- Manage short-term investments in line with risk, liquidity and return goals and investment policies
About You
- 10+ years experience in treasury or fund operations within asset management
- Experience designing and putting in place liquidity frameworks for distributions, fees and hedging cash flows
- Exposure to private equity, private credit, real estate or infrastructure is highly regarded
- Confidence working with the executive team, CIO and investor relations
- Enjoy working in a growing business and keep adapting the treasury structure as it scales
