Are you an experienced veterinary nurse ready to take the next step in your career and lead a passionate nursing team?
Vineyard Vet Hospital is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Head Veterinary Nurse to join our team and help guide our nursing department with confidence, care, and enthusiasm. This role will be fixed-term contract til March with potential future opportunities available.
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior nurse who enjoys supporting others, creating a positive team culture, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. You will play a key role in mentoring our nursing team, developing clinical standards, and helping our hospital continue to provide exceptional care to pets and their families.
About the role:
- Lead, support, and inspire our veterinary nursing team
- Mentor nurses and encourage professional growth
- Oversee day-to-day nursing operations and workflows
- Maintain high standards of patient care and clinical excellence
- Assist with team development, training, and continuous improvement
- Work collaboratively with veterinarians and the wider hospital team
About you:
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a senior veterinary nursing or leadership role
- A natural ability to motivate, support, and communicate with a team
- Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach
- A genuine passion for animal welfare and exceptional client care
