What You’ll Be Doing

Are you ready to take your career to new heights? Compare the Market has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Home Loan Specialist (Mortgage Broker) to join our team and embark on a fulfilling journey assisting our valued customers in achieving their dream of home ownership. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in guiding customers through their home loan journey, ensuring their needs are met while upholding compliance and regulatory standards.

In this critical role, your responsibilities will include providing personalised loan advice, processing loan applications, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of loan products and regulations, and ensuring a seamless and supportive customer experience.

• Communicate effectively with customers to build rapport and trust throughout their home loan journey, from application to settlement and beyond
• Understand customer needs and objectives to recommend lender and product options that are suitable for their individual circumstances
• Ensure compliance with Best Interest Duty and Responsible Lending requirements throughout the home loan process
• Maintain accurate and truthful customer records in Salesforce CRM
• Collaborate with Home Loan Consultants to resolve credit-related or customer-related queries, ensuring a smooth and timely experience

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking
• Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management (highly regarded but not essential)
• Current AML Training Certificate
• Demonstrated recent experience in Home Loan Lending as a Mortgage Broker
• Possess a thorough understanding of the entire Home Loan Platform and related systems, including Credit Score/Report, Property and Suburb Report, Salesforce CRM, AFG FLEX, ApplyOnline, Microsoft, and Google Suite
• Solid understanding and ability to meet Responsible Lending obligations and Best Interest Duty requirements
• Strong financial acumen with proven problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Comfortable working with customers in an online, digital space, including online lodgement and processing of home loan applications, and communicating via email, phone, or video call
• Highly organised with keen attention to detail, able to manage conflicting deadlines
