Hospital Care Nurse
- Support patients from admissions through to discharge planning
- Perform IVC placement, blood collection, IV fluid therapy (IVFT), and constant rate infusions (CRI)
- Administer sedation and anaesthetics for short procedures, ensuring patient comfort and procedural success

SASH Sunshine Coast provides excellent multidisciplinary specialist care across surgery, internal medicine and rehab therapy as well as 24/7 emergency support in a state-of-the-art purpose-built facility.
We are seeking a Hospital Care Nurse who is keen to work closely with Medicine and Surgical patients throughout their SASH journey.
- Support patients from admissions through to discharge planning
- Perform IVC placement, blood collection, IV fluid therapy (IVFT), and constant rate infusions (CRI).
- Use your anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology understanding to assess and respond to patient needs
- Administer sedation and anaesthetics for short procedures, ensuring patient comfort and procedural success.
This is a part time opportunity across a Monday to Friday roster offering early morning and afternoon starts.
Who are we looking for?
- Completed Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and/or BAppSc (Veterinary Technology) degree or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years qualified nursing experience in a referral (specialist hospital), or a busy general practice
- Sound knowledge and experience in medical and perioperative nursing.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team
- Knowledge of Ezyvet, VetRadar/Smartflow and Idexx blood machines but not essential
