Identity Engineer - Auth0 | Contract | Sydney
$750 per day | 12-Month Contract | Enterprise Identity Projects
We're looking for a hands-on Auth0 Engineer to join a major enterprise organisation in Sydney, working on the integration of Java and .NET applications into an established Auth0 environment.
This is a technical delivery role suited to someone who enjoys getting into the detail of identity integrations, solving complex authentication challenges and taking applications through to production.
The Opportunity You'll be responsible for configuring Auth0, onboarding applications and implementing secure authentication and authorisation solutions.
Working from approved solution designs, you'll take ownership of integrations from initial configuration through testing, deployment and production support.
What You'll Be Doing
- Integrating Java and .NET web applications with Auth0 using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC) and SAML 2.0
- Configuring Auth0 tenants, Universal Login, enterprise connections, custom database connections and MFA
- Developing and maintaining Auth0 Actions, Rules and API integrations
- Implementing JWT validation, refresh token rotation and scope/claim mapping
- Configuring machine-to-machine authentication and API authorisation
- Supporting application testing, UAT, deployment and production cutover
- Troubleshooting authentication, federation and authorisation issues
What We're Looking For You'll need strong, hands-on Auth0 engineering experience, rather than purely architectural or IAM governance experience.
Essential skills:
- Commercial experience implementing and configuring Auth0
- Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0, OIDC and SAML 2.0 at protocol level
- Experience integrating Auth0 with Java (Spring Boot) and .NET applications
- Auth0 Universal Login, Rules/Actions, Management APIs and Authentication APIs
- JWT validation, token management and application authorisation
- Experience with MFA, passkeys, custom domains and enterprise identity connections
- Ability to troubleshoot complex authentication and integration issues
Contract Details
Location: Sydney
Rate: $750 per day
Duration: 16 November 2026 – 30 October 2027
