Inclusive Team Leader - Supported Employment
- Lead and mentor a small team transitioning from supported to mainstream employment.
- Ensure production targets are met while fostering a safe and inclusive environment.
- Deliver hands-on training and support to employees with disabilities.
About the role:
As Inclusive Team Leader, you will be a hands-on and active leader for our small team of employee’s as they are in a transition phase from supported employment to mainstream open employment. In this role, you will be based at our Supported Hosted Site located at Estia Health an Aged Care Facility in Victoria Point. You and the team will be working within a busy laundry room loading washing machines & dryers, folding sheet, towels, napkins and other linen items at this facility. Our team of four supported employees are experienced in this role and are needing an active team leader to motivate, mentor and coach day to day to support them to develop in their career. This role is 4 days per week Monday to Thursday from start time 9am to 2.30pm.
Ideal applicant will lead with empathy and encouragement, you’ll create a safe, inclusive, and productive environment where everyone can thrive. You will be hands on in this role also doing the laundry and assisting the team to keep up with the demands of this unit. You will also look for and promote opportunities that will create further opportunities for the team.
What You’ll Do
- Be an active team player – assisting the team in the process of laundry management. Inspire and mentor a diverse team, championing a strong safety culture and compliance.
- Support employees to meet their goals and contribute meaningfully to production outcomes.
- Foster a collaborative, respectful workplace with positive behaviour support.
- Deliver hands-on training, conduct assessments, and partner with external workplace.
- Ensure production targets are met with excellence in quality, attention to detail and customer satisfaction.
- Various NDIS admin in spare time and coaching with the team.
- Look for opportunities and support the team to develop
What You’ll Bring
- Natural leader to guide and motivate a team
- Background in workplace disability support is highly valued but not essential.
- Clear and confident communication skills.
- A genuine passion for inclusion, purpose-driven work, and empathetic leadership.
- Physical fitness to be on feet all day and be active supporter within the laundry duties. This area is Air conditioned and ability to keep up with fast pace.
- Willingness to obtain required checks: Blue Card, Yellow Card, National Criminal History Check, and a valid Driver’s License.
