A well?regarded specialist firm, is expanding its insurance defence practice and is seeking motivated lawyers with 2–5 years’ post?admission experience. This is an excellent opportunity for junior to mid?level practitioners who want hands?on litigation experience, strong mentorship, and exposure to a variety of insurance and commercial matters.
The Role
You’ll primarily work on Compulsory Third Party (CTP) motor vehicle claims, acting for a major insurer. You’ll also have scope to broaden your experience across commercial, employment, and general litigation matters. The team is close?knit, collaborative, and led by a respected senior practitioner known for their practical, supportive approach.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Defending personal injury and dependency claims for a major insurer
- Preparing legal advice, liability assessments and litigation documents
- Managing files from initial assessment through to resolution
- Working with colleagues on strategy, liability, quantum and settlement approaches
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years PAE (insurance litigation experience helpful but not essential)
- Candidates from plaintiff backgrounds who want to transition to defence work are encouraged
- Strong drafting skills, clear communication and solid file management
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn across diverse matters
