IT Support Engineer
About the Role
A leading multi-campus independent school is seeking an experienced ICT Support Engineer to join their Information Communication Technology team. Based at the Drouin campus, this full-time, ongoing role delivers high-quality, ICT systems and technical support across the school community. Kogan People Solutions recruiters are assisting in this critical recruitment effort.
As a senior technical team member, you will serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues, support core network and server infrastructure, and contribute to continuous improvement projects that keep educational operations running seamlessly. The role is full time and ongoing.
Location: Drouin, VIC
Salary – attractive salary is offered in the range $95k to $100k plus superannuation per annum
Reporting to Campus management, your key responsibilities will include
- Provide high-level end-user computing support and troubleshooting for staff and students across Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and Apple iOS environments.
- Act as a technical escalation point for the ICT Services Team, logging, prioritizing, and resolving service desk tickets within established service level policies.
- Support, develop, and maintain network infrastructure, Windows Server services (Group Policy, Printer Management, Active Directory), and Azure cloud environments (Azure Active Directory, Endpoint Manager / Intune, Azure Servers).
- Research, develop, and implement new technical solutions, operating environments, and tools in collaboration with management; assist with system projects and administrative database applications.
- Create and maintain accurate technical documentation and assist in delivering ICT professional development and support to school staff.
Essential Requirements
- Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in an IT-based discipline (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering) is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of full-time relevant professional experience in a similar senior or high-level ICT support/engineering role.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrated, hands-on knowledge in:
- Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Apple iOS
- Windows Server Services (Active Directory, Group Policy, Printer Management)
- Azure Cloud Services (Azure AD, Endpoint Manager/Intune, Azure Servers)
- Network environments, routing, and database application systems
- Excellent communication skills, strong time management, and the ability to interact with staff and students in a supportive, helpful manner.
- A current Victorian driver’s license with access to a vehicle, a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC), and background check clearance.
