LD18538 - Rig Geologist (Exploration)

We are seeking an experienced Rig Geologist to join an active exploration drilling program in the Meekatharra region. This is a short-term contract through to Christmas 2026, with the potential to commence as early as next week.

About the Role

• Provide geological support across aircore, RC and diamond drilling programs
• Oversee drill sampling and processing activities
• Maintain accurate geological, sampling and drilling records
• Complete data entry and reporting using Microsoft Excel
• Communicate drilling progress and field matters with supervisors
• Maintain strong safety and operational standards around the rig

About You

• Geology degree or relevant tertiary qualification
• More than six months’ AC, RC or diamond drilling and sample-processing experience
• Demonstrated gold exploration experience, including AC, RC or diamond drilling programs, is essential
• Competent using Microsoft Excel
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
• Clear communication and organisational skills
• Comfortable working within a small team in remote conditions
• Willing to contribute to shared cooking, cleaning and camp responsibilities

Role Details

• FIFO from Perth to Meekatharra via Skippers
• 15:13 roster, Wednesday to Wednesday
• 10–12-hour days
• Work across the Side Well and Peak Hill project areas
• Share-house or remote caravan-style accommodation
• Self-sufficient camp arrangements with no onsite cook or cleaner
• Immediate start available, subject to interview and onboarding

Experience
6+ months AC/RC/DD processing experience.
