- Lead hands-on backend engineering initiatives from design through to production, without people-management responsibilities.

We’re partnering with a growing product-led technology company looking for a Lead Backend engineer to join its Australian engineering team.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role, offering lead level technical ownership without moving into people management. You’ll work across complex backend and platform systems, helping shape the architecture and technical foundations behind a rapidly scaling product.
Tech stack: Python, AWS, FastAPI/Flask, Kafka/SQS, Docker, Terraform
You’ll take ownership of complex engineering initiatives from design through to production, with a focus on systems design, distributed architecture and service boundaries.
