Woods & Co is partnering with a highly regarded luxury residential builder to appoint a Leading Hand to join their growing construction team.
Working across high end custom residential projects, this is an opportunity for an experienced Carpenter or Leading Hand who is ready to take the next step in their career.
You'll work closely with the Foreman and wider construction team, taking on greater responsibility across day to day site operations, trade coordination and construction delivery. The position is ideally suited to someone with their sights set on becoming a Foreman, offering the opportunity to further develop their leadership and site management capabilities while working alongside an experienced team.
The Role
- Assist with the day to day running and coordination of site operations
- Take an active role in coordinating subcontractors and managing trades on site
- Work closely with the Foreman to ensure construction is progressing to schedule
- Oversee workmanship and maintain high standards of quality across all stages of construction
- Assist with site scheduling, material deliveries and general site ops
- Maintain a safe, organised and well presented worksite
About You
- Qualified Carpenter by trade with strong custom new build experience
- Previous experience as a Leading Hand or an experienced Carpenter ready to steady up
- Exposure to high end custom residential or architectural builds
- Confident coordinating subcontractors and managing trades on site
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, drawings and site operations
- A natural leader who is comfortable taking ownership and responsibility
- Ambitious and motivated to develop into a Foreman role in the near future
