Are you a skilled and experienced Theatre Nurse with 2 + years of experience looking for your next opportunity? Our client in Goulburn is seeking dedicated professionals to join their team for a locum short-term contract with potential for extension.
 
Dates & Location:

• Contract Dates: 13 January 2025 – 13 February 2025
• Location: Goulburn

Positions Available

• 2 x RN Scrub Scouts or 2 x EEN Scrub Scouts
• 1 x Anaesthetic Nurse (RN)

Scrub Scout Nurse Duties
As a Scrub Scout Nurse, you will play a vital role in the operating theatre by:

• Preparing and maintaining a sterile environment.
• Assisting surgeons and the surgical team during procedures.
• Managing surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Ensuring patient safety and maintaining aseptic techniques.
• Conducting pre-operative checks and post-operative counts of instruments and consumables.

Anaesthetic Nurse Duties
As an Anaesthetic Nurse, your responsibilities include:

• Preparing and maintaining anesthetic equipment and medications.
• Supporting patients before, during, and after anesthesia.
• Assisting the anesthetist with intubation, extubation, and other procedures.
• Monitoring patient vitals and responding to emergencies.
• Ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the perioperative period.

Requirements

• Current AHPRA registration as an RN or EEN.
• Relevant experience in Scrub Scout or Anaesthetic Nursing (Ideally 2 + years)
• Strong understanding of perioperative practices and patient care.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• National Police Clearance
• NSW Working with Children Check
• Other mandatory compliance documents will be discussed with candidates that progress to initial screening interview
