Machine Operator - Steel Manufacturing
- Operate machinery to cut and bend reinforcing steel, handle materials and check finished products for quality.
- Follow production instructions and safe work procedures in a steel reinforcement manufacturing facility.
- Bring previous machine operating experience, a background in reinforcing steel and mechanical aptitude; overhead gantry crane experience is advantageous.
AWX is seeking reliable, mechanically minded Machine Operators for a busy steel reinforcement manufacturing facility in Hemmant. Our client supplies reinforcing steel products for residential, commercial and civil construction projects.
These casual roles offer temp-to-perm opportunities, with training provided to build on your existing production and reinforcement experience.
Hours & Pay
- Day shift: 5:00 am to 1:00 pm | $38.88/hr - $41.23/hr
- Afternoon shift: 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm | $47.30/hr - $50.16/hr

- Follow production instructions and safe work procedures.
What You'll Need
- Previous production machine operating experience.
- A background working with reinforcing steel or reinforcement products.
- Mechanical aptitude and a reliable approach to work.
- Overhead gantry crane experience is advantageous.
- Full-length PPE, including long sleeves, long pants and steel-cap boots.
- Full ongoing Australian working rights.
