Maintenance Fitter – Afternoon Shift – FMCG Manufacturing
Rate: $58.65 per hour – Inclusive of 15% shift loading
Shift: Monday–Friday, Afternoon Shift
Hours: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
Overtime: HEAPS OF OVERTIME AVAILABLE

Are you a skilled Maintenance Fitter looking for a stable role with a leading FMCG manufacturer, excellent earning potential and a strong maintenance team?
We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a well-established manufacturing site on afternoon shift.
The OpportunityThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading FMCG business with a long-standing maintenance team, modern production equipment and a strong focus on preventative maintenance and reliability.
You’ll be joining a team where your technical skills are valued, with plenty of opportunity to get involved in both breakdown maintenance and preventative maintenance across a busy manufacturing environment.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing preventative and reactive maintenance across production machinery
- Responding to breakdowns and carrying out effective fault finding
- Mechanical repairs, servicing and equipment adjustments
- Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
- Completing preventative maintenance schedules
- Working closely with production and the wider maintenance team
- Ensuring machinery is operating safely and efficiently
- Maintaining a high standard of safety and housekeeping
About You
We are looking for a qualified Mechanical Fitter / Maintenance Fitter with:
- Mechanical trade qualification
- Previous maintenance experience within FMCG, food, beverage or manufacturing
- Strong mechanical fault-finding ability
- Experience working with automated production machinery
- A proactive approach to preventative maintenance
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine interest in building a long-term career within manufacturing
