Maintenance Fitter

We're partnering with a well-established Australian manufacturer with strong reputation for safety, quality and employee retention. This business operates a modern manufacturing facility, offering a supportive maintenance team and pride themselves on fostering positive workplace cultures where people stay for the long term.

Due to continued growth, this site is looking to add experienced Maintenance Fitters to their maintenance team.

The Roles
Working closely with the Maintenance Manager and Production teams, you'll be responsible for keeping plant and equipment operating safely and efficiently through preventative maintenance, breakdown response and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preventative and breakdown maintenance across manufacturing equipment
• Fault finding, diagnostics and mechanical repairs
• Maintaining conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics and pneumatics
• Supporting production to minimise downtime and maximise equipment reliability
• Contributing to safety, quality and continuous improvement initiatives
• Working within a collaborative maintenance team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Both Day and Afternoon Shift opportunities are available.
Afternoon Shift attracts an additional 15% shift loading, the site offering regular overtime paid at penalty rates (1.5x-2x).

About You
To be successful, you will have:

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner or equivalent (essential)
• Experience as a Maintenance Fitter within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and breakdown maintenance experience
• A proactive, reliable and safety-first approach
• Full Australian working rights
• Ability to commence immediately or within short notice

Please note: This opportunities are only available to candidates currently residing within reasonable commuting distance of the North-West (near Tullamarine).
