Management AccountantExciting State Government Opportunity | Osborne Park | Immediate StartA leading State Government organisation based in Osborne Park is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team on an initial 3 to 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded accounting professional to contribute to a high-performing finance function while supporting key budgeting and financial management activities.Your New RoleReporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and business partnering activities across the organisation. Working within a collaborative finance team, you will provide accurate financial information and insights to support informed decision-making.Your responsibilities will include:
- Budget preparation, monitoring and analysis
- Financial reporting and management accounting activities
- Preparing and maintaining complex spreadsheets and financial models
- Supporting forecasting and variance analysis processes
- Coordinating financial information across multiple business areas
- Assisting with administrative and finance-related project activities
- Providing financial advice and support to key stakeholders
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function
What You'll Need to SucceedTo be successful in this role, you will be a well-rounded Management Accountant with strong analytical and stakeholder engagement skills.You will ideally possess:
- Demonstrated experience in management accounting, budgeting and financial reporting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to work with complex data sets
- Experience interpreting and presenting financial information to stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or similar ERP systems
- Exposure to Power BI reporting tools would be highly regarded
- Previous State Government experience is desirable but not essential
