Your new company
Our client is aleading organisation within the WA industrial and process sector, playing a keyrole in supporting large-scale operations across the state. Due to multipleinternal secondments, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer tojoin their team on an initial 6-month contract, with strong potential forextension.
Your new role
This is a varied,hands-on position supporting both project engineering and operationalactivities within a busy engineering function. You will work closely withoperations and maintenance teams to deliver practical, high-quality engineeringsolutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conveyor design forexpansion projects (Sidewinder preferred)
- Pneumatic systemdesign (including hygiene air systems)
- Conveyor skirtingdesign and technical reviews
- Throughput improvementand feasibility assessments
- Troubleshootingequipment issues, including elevator performance
- Managing a backlog ofEngineering Work Requests (EWRs)
- Coordinating externalcontractors and service providers
- Providing engineeringsupport to operations and maintenance teams
What you'll need to succeed
You are a versatileand adaptable Mechanical Engineer with a broad technical background and theability to operate across multiple functions.
You will bring:
- Degree in MechanicalEngineering or equivalent
- Experience inmechanical engineering within process plant, materials handling, or industrialenvironments
- Strong exposure tooperations and maintenance support
- Proven projectengineering capability
- Experience managingengineering work requests or similar scopes
- Ability to coordinatecontractors and manage stakeholders
- Experience withSidewinder conveyor design software desirable
