Mechanical Fitter – Day Shift | General Engineering & Assembly

Pay Rate:$57–$60 per hour + super
Employment Type: Casual – Long-Term Assignment Through to January
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established general engineering and manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for a motivated and reliable tradesperson with strong mechanical fitting and assembly skills to secure a long-term casual assignment through to January.
Working on day shift, you will be involved in a variety of general engineering tasks, mechanical assembly and fitting work within a hands-on workshop environment.
Immediate interviews are available, with an ASAP start for the right candidate!

Key Responsibilities

• Mechanical fitting, assembly and installation of components and equipment
• Carrying out general engineering and workshop duties
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Using hand and power tools to complete assembly work
• Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment

About You

• Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter or relevant mechanical fitting experience
• Experience in general engineering, mechanical assembly or manufacturing
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
• Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Available to commence ASAP and commit to the assignment through to January
