We are seeking Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Medical Reception Staff to work across our multiple reception and call centre areas. On a day-to-day basis these exceptionally professional and committed staff members will be responsible for the following tasks:

• greeting our clients and visitors in a welcoming and culturally respectful manner

• scheduling, confirming and managing our client appointments

• managing inbound and outbound calls

• maintaining and updating accurate client records

• providing administrative support to other clinical and program staff; and

• assisting with other general office duties as required.

We are looking for exceptionally empathetic and resilient people who can:

• draw on their deep understanding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, communities and cultures to ensure culturally safe interactions

• appropriately manage the sensitive information of our clients in line with privacy and confidentiality legislation

• communicate clearly in person, over the phone, and in writing

• create a welcoming and professional first impression for our clients

• remain patient and calm when dealing with clients in emotional situations.

• manage competing priorities effectively with great attention to detail and accuracy

• use their sound judgement and common sense in responding to unexpected situations; and

• demonstrate integrity and professionalism in every interaction (internal and external).
