Our client, APEX Engineering Technology Group, is seeking skilled Metal Machinists to join their Workshop team. The successful applicants will provide manual and CNC machinist/toolmaker services while maintaining high standards in Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) in line with ISO requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate manual and CNC lathes, grinders, milling and boring machines
- Use measuring devices for pre- and post-machining checks
- Perform fabrication and welding tasks as required
- Conduct commissioning, calibration, and maintenance of workshop equipment
- Operate cranes and lifting devices safely
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Complete job documentation accurately
- Follow OHS and QA/QC standards
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Trade Certificate in CNC/Manual Machining
- Experience in manual and CNC machining, commissioning, and maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
- Understanding of safety and risk assessment tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tolerances
- Team players with a proactive, can-do attitude
- Forklift licence (desirable but not required)
