Motor Mechanic
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our busy automotive workshop on a full-time basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of light motor vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in engines and vehicle components
- Diagnose and test vehicle faults using computerised diagnostic equipment
- Carry out scheduled servicing and general vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication and tune-ups
- Inspect, dismantle and repair engines, transmissions, steering, suspension and braking systems
- Repair and replace worn or defective mechanical parts and components
- Reassemble engines and mechanical components following repairs
- Test and adjust repaired components to ensure vehicles are operating safely and correctly
- Follow manufacturer specifications, service manuals and workshop procedures when carrying out repairs
- Inspect vehicles and identify any additional repairs or maintenance required
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop environment
About You
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Relevant automotive mechanical qualification
- Previous experience as a Motor Mechanic
- Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
