  • Salary Classification: Radiation Therapist Level 2 Yr 1
  • Remuneration: $45.04 per hour + superannuation + annual leave loading + salary packaging options + RDO's 

About the role
 
The New Graduate Radiation Therapist will have the opportunity to provide high quality, safe, patient-centred clinical radiation therapy planning and treatment delivery services; while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and continually enhancing the quality of service and patient experience.
 
Calvary Mater Newcastle’s Department of Radiation Oncology is NSW’s largest regional specialist Radiation Therapy Centre. The department is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of Radiation Oncologists, Radiation Therapists, Radiation Oncology Medical Physicists, Nursing, Allied Health, Clerical and Domestic services personnel, who work together to ensure patients receive the best possible care and treatment.
 
 
About you

  • Hold a Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science (Radiation Therapy), AHPRA registration and EPA licence necessary to practice Radiation Therapy in NSW
  • Demonstrated basic experience in all aspects of radiation therapy
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated good time and task management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service, patient safety and quality improvement
  • Commitment to the Mission, Vision and Values of Calvary and the ability and desire to uphold these principles
