We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Health and Safety Advisor to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of our projects.

Position Overview

As an Advisor, you will implement and maintain effective health, safety and environmental systems across civil construction projects. You will conduct site inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations to ensure compliance with Australian regulations. You will work closely with project teams to promote a strong safety culture and drive continuous improvement in HSE performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement, maintain and continuously improve Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) management systems.
  • Conduct routine site inspections and comprehensive risk assessments to proactively identify and control hazards.
  • Partner with project teams to ensure full compliance with applicable safety legislation, regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop and deliver engaging HSE training and inductions for employees and subcontractors.
  • Lead investigations into incidents, accidents and near misses, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Monitor, analyse and report on HSE performance, driving ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to embed HSE requirements into project planning and delivery.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practice and evolving regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 3+ Years experience as a HSE Advisor within the construction industry.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant Australian safety legislation, regulations and industry standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Well-developed organisational, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Formal qualification in Workplace Health and Safety (e.g. Cert IV in WHS or equivalent).
  • Current Police Clearance.
  • Valid White Card.
