  • Job Description

    Quality Care Physiotherapy is a small, locally owned organisation on the Sunshine Coast, working in the community aged care sector. We have a team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapist, Exercise Physiologist and AHAs. Due to expansion, we are currently seeking a casual/ part time Occupational Therapist to join our friendly team to work in community based care.

    Hours - Casual or part-time - 16 hours per week. Flexible days and times to suit your lifestyle - with an opportunity to increase hours if desired.

    Location - Maroochydore/ Buderim/ Sippy Downs/ Currimundi/ Caloundra and surrounding areas. We endeavour to minimise travel wherever possible

    Details

    • Assessment and implementation of treatment programs in aged care - community setting (predominantly through Support at Home - SAH, NDIS and private referrals
    • Provide client centred re-ablement Occupational Therapy with a goal to maximising independence, safety and quality of life
    • Conduct comprehensive in-home ADL and cognitive evaluations.
    • Recommend assistive technology, equipment, and home modifications.
    • Design goal-directed intervention plans in partnership with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
    • Provide falls-prevention strategies and support caregiver training
    • Communication with Care Partners/ Support Coordinators regarding recommendations and budget approvals for participants and updates and reviews
    • Liaise with an in house team team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapist, Exercise Physiologist and Allied Health Assistants regarding client care.
    • Attend monthly staff meetings

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Occupational Therapy
    • Occupational Therapy registration with AHPRA
    • Police Clearance
    • NDIS worker screening clearance
    • Good communication skills
    • Ability to work autonomously
    • Current driver's licence and access to a car - kilometres allowance is paid in addition to salary. Option to use company car
    • Minimum of two years Occupational Therapy experience (desirable)
    • Ability to work from home/ remotely - to write up case notes/ assessments/ reports etc
    • Current First Aid and CPR
